Julia focused her studies on biopharmaceutical process engineering, which she is excited about because of its novel therapeutic approaches and the various possibilities for manufacturing drugs.

Through an internship and subsequent master’s thesis at Roche, she gained experience and knowledge in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector, particular in automation and solid-liquid separation.

After completing her studies, she worked in a diagnostics laboratory for several months. She found it interesting to shift her perspective from the manufacture of diagnostic products to their practical application in everyday laboratory work.

Julia tries to look at problems and tasks from different angles to get a complete picture of the situation. She often spends her free time doing a wide variety of sports, learning Spanish, and she enjoys being artistic on canvas with oil and acrylic paints.
